Risk Management Agency (RMA)/Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) was established under provisions of the Agriculture Improvement and Reform Act of 1996, to be responsible for supervision of the Federal Crop Insurance Act, including delivery of program services through private insurance companies, any pilot or other programs involving revenue insurance, risk management savings accounts, or the use of the futures market to manage risk and support farm income that may be established under the Federal Crop Insurance Act or other laws, and any other programs designed to manage risk and support farm income.
